About

Eats on Feets is a worldwide volunteer-run network that facilitates platforms for parents, caretakers, and professionals who have made the informed choice to share or support the sharing of human milk. This forum provides a commerce-free space where families can offer or request breastmilk in an ethical manner. Our 4 Pillars of Safe Milksharing, a framework that came out of our extensive research, provides the information to do so safely.

"Hey, why don't we just become wet nurses;

Instead of Meals on Wheels,

we can call ourselves Eats on Feets."

These words are at the foundation of the Eats on Feets network. In July of 2010, Shell, retired LM, CPM, started the original Eats on Feets chapter on Facebook for her community in Arizona. Remembering her words from 1991, she thought that Eats on Feets would be a fun and lighthearted name for a page dedicated to bringing human milk to babies in need. In October of 2010, the idea caught on, and a network of multiple chapters was created.
